Nurse Betty ---------------->

I really wanted to like this movie.  But except for Renee Zellwegger being her imitable adorable loopy self, other parts fell flat.  Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock in particular were given very little good writing to work with. Aaron Eckhart as Betty's husband Del makes the most of his fifteen minutes, aided by a mullet and some great aviator frames.  For one tiny moment, when Betty visits the set of "a reason to love" the film achieves a profound commentary about television and our perception of, and dependence on, celebrity.  Unfortunately, comedy is hard, and this just didn't work.  One word to the Hollywood god's - Crispin Glover and Pruitt Taylor Vince deserve a hell of a lot more work.
