The Pledge---------------->

Sleepwalking through this one, Jack Nicholson scares us all...and loses touch with his own reality.  I felt robbed frankly, the orgasm never achieved from the sex thing - was the killer the creepy tall guy or not?  Why put your daughter-to-be in a red dress and use her as bait?  And hard to believe that the beautiful Robin Wright Penn could be ugly, but it happened before my very eyes. Whatever else is true about this movie, it puts you very much in touch with just how sick and wrong it is that monsters like this are loose in the world.  Makes you want to tie them to a post and let the pigs at em.

There is one scene in particular, where the wrong just seems inevitable, and you ask yourself how you can live in this world where these creatures seem to multiply.

"if any harm one of these little ones, it would be better if a millstone were hung about his neck and he were dropped into the midst of the sea."

Can I get an amen?!!e
